After 20 years of experience in all domains of architecture, Andreas Schiessl founded Sad Architekten in 2012. He has gained experience in various offices in Switzerland and Germany. The firm believes in the importance of research and education and this keeps Andreas Schiessl excited for his lectures on Facility management and construction.

Andreas Schiessl

is the versatile member of the team, an all-rounder. Good design, its implementation and the people in and around it have always kept him busy. He is an expert in the entire process, from planning, construction management and interior design to the preservation of architectural monuments. After studying social pedagogy and art therapy in Regensburg and Munich, he studied architecture at the Holzminden University of Applied Sciences & the Karlsruhe Technical University.

Anastasia Thoma

is an architect and researcher with broad work experience in Austria, Russia, UK and Switzerland. She holds a Master of Architecture from MARKHI Moscow, Master’s Degree from CASS LMU and a MAS in Architecture and Digital Fabrication from the ETHZ. Nowadays parallel to the architectural practice she is teaching and finishing her PhD at the Chair for Experimental Architecture in Innsbruck University.

Alesch Wenger

is a freelance architect and site manager. Challenging conversions are his passion and wooden buildings are his specialty. From purchase advice to key handover, he will be happy to provide you with holistic support for your construction project. After completing business high school, he completed his master’s degree in architecture at the ZHAW. As a Swiss with Argentinian roots, he speaks both national languages fluently. He is also happy to work on projects in English.

Mohadese Rezaei

has always found herself intrigued with interior spaces and thinks about ways of making it better. She focuses on human senses not just visual beauties. In her view, the way to achieve this is to identify the users need and design around them. Having roots from Iran, she is well versed in her native language Persian, additionally speaks English and French.

Nelly Valderrama G.

is an accountant and auditor. She is responsible for the organisation and administration of the office. Together with the management she determines and audits the business processes of SAD Architects. Nelly acquired the license as accountant in Peru. She studied Internal Control as well as Risk Management in Companies at the Institute of Internal Auditors Peru (Member of IIA & COSO). She speaks Spanish and German.

Simran Bansal

is an architect and urban designer. Having experience in crafting concepts for international offices, she has an eye for designing experiences. Her forte is sustainable urban development, and delivering solutions that reflect both community and environmental values. She holds a MAS in Urban Design from ETH Zürich, with a masters in architecture from India, and is competent in English, Hindi and Tamil.
