Redevelopment of monasteries

Renovation of the 100x80m Meierhof (former farmyard) of the Benediktbeuern monastery, as well as the dormitories and the refectory of the Schlehdorf monastery. The two showcase buildings of the Bavarian Baroque were renovated to preserve the existing building and given a new use.
A thorough knowledge of historical building structures was essential for the careful handling of the listed substance. The renovation of multi-layer roof trusses, vault structures, elaborate stucco ceilings and fresco and lime mortar facades took place in several stages with ongoing operations. The services included planning, tendering and construction management as an employee in the Hans Heldwein office, Schongau.
